"Speeding is always a risk.

"Whatever your excuse, it’s still speeding."

Drivers in court after A92 offences

The offence follows two recent court cases reported on by the Times in the past couple of days.

On Monday, we reported that a 23-year-old woman was caught driving at 102mph on the A92 dual carriageway.

They admitted previously that on March 28, on the A92 between Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath, they drove a car at a speed of 102mph, above the temporary speed limit of 50mph.

Furthermore, the Times reported that a delivery driver was “surprised” to find out he had been hitting speeds of up to 109 mph on the A92 near Lochgelly.

He admitted that on March 24 last year, on the A92, he drove at 109mph in a 70-mph limit.
