CENTRAL Fife's 'Most and Least Expensive' streets over the last five years have been revealed.

Gathering five years' worth of sold house price data across the KY4 and KY5 postcodes, the data has shown the difference in sale prices between certain areas.

Main Street and Blairforge in Kelty, as well as Hilton Road in Cowdenbeath, have some of the highest-valued homes across the area, on average.

Meanwhile, cheapest residential streets in Central Fife include Berry Street and Bank Street in Lochgelly, and Station Road in Cardenden.

Home sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2016 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the KY4 and KY5 postcodes.

On Main Street (Kelty, KY4), seven properties sold for an average of £314,000.

Blairforge (Kelty, KY4), had six properties sell for an average of £296,000. Also, Hilton Road (Cowdenbeath, KY4) saw five properties be purchased for an average of £268,493.

Elsewhere, the three sales at Adam Hunter Court in Kelty had an average purchase of £248,333; Curling Knowe in Crossgates had eight sales worth an average of £233,874; Glencraig's Main Road had five sales that averaged £228,200.

Cardenden's Station Road had eight properties sell for an average of £28,000, and Lochgelly's Bank Street had seven properties sell for an average of £39,771.

There were 13 sales at Dundas Street in Lochgelly over the past five years, averaging £44,023 in sales; the four in Cowdenbeath's High Street averaged at £44,750; Lochgelly's Main Street had eight sales that were sold for an average of £45,875.

Also within the KY4 and KY5 postcodes was County Houses, Fordell, with five sales at £46,200; and Brucefield Terrace in Lumphinnans which had six sales average at £46,416.

Finally, Cowdenbeath's High Street and Woodside each had three sales in the past five years, with averages of £50,500 and £51,333, respectively.

Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.

“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Blairadam (KY4) sold for £501,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £35,000 and under on Loch Leven Terrace (KY4), Cardenden (KY5) and Benarty Square (KY5)."
