POLICE in the Cowdenbeath area had a busy end to 2021 and start of 2022 as they responded to a range of crimes and offences being committed.
From Monday, December 27 to Sunday, January 2, local officers revealed that 225 calls were recorded in the area, with 35 requiring an immediate response.
This led to 26 crime files being record, which contained a total of 32 charges, 16 of which were detected.
Crimes in the area included sexual assault, assault, threatening and abusive behaviour, and vandalism.
Other offences included theft and theft by shoplifting.
Several breaches were also committed, including breach of non-harassment, breach of bail, and breach of undertaking.
Road Traffic Offences (RTOs) were also responded to by police, with failure to stop and dangerous driving among the incidents.
