A SPEEDING driver who caused danger to others on the road as he tried to get away from a chasing police car in Lochgelly has been banned.
Jordan Rattray, 28, of Hilton View, Lumphinnans, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He had not been present at a previous hearing when a guilty plea was submitted through his solicitor and a ban could not be imposed in his absence.
Rattray admitted that on January 22, in Lumphinnans Road, Lochgelly, he drove a car dangerously at excessive speed.
He overtook another road user in the opposing carriageway, then continued to head on towards other road users, also on the opposing carriageway, requiring him to take evasive action to avoid a collision and that he evaded police in the execution of their duty.
Sheriff Charles Macnair called for reports and imposed a temporary ban until sentencing on February 16.
