A TEENAGER was taken to hospital and is in "serious" condition following a car crash near Kinglassie.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident last night (Wednesday) on the B922 between Cluny and Kinglassie.

Police closed the road for investigations to take place.

Officers confirmed that one man, a 19-year-old, had been taken to hospital.

Medical staff described his condition as "serious".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a crash involving three vehicles on the B922 between Cluny and Kinglassie, around 5.35pm on Wednesday, 5 January.

"The road has since reopened and enquiries are ongoing.

"One man, aged 19, was taken to hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious."
