LIAM Buchanan missed a second-half penalty as Cowdenbeath drew with Albion Rovers at Central Park.
With the sides level, Maurice Ross and his men were given a golden chance to take the lead but Buchanan's spot-kick was saved by Cammy Binnie.
With Elgin City recovering from a 2-0 deficit to earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Stenhousemuir, the Blue Brazil remain bottom. They are four points behind Elgin, who have played one less game.

Kelty Hearts were out of sight by half-time as they made quick work of Stranraer.
An own goal from Sean Burns inside ten minutes gave Kevin Thomson's side the perfect start, with Jordon Forster and Nathan Austin netting before the break.
Austin would grab his second after the restart to conclude the scoring.
The unbeaten league leaders remain seven points clear of Forfar in second, with Kelty holding a game in hand following their recently postponed trip to Elgin City.
