A MAN who sexually assaulted two females at a house in Cardenden with one of the victims being just 14 at the time has been jailed.

Michael Potts, 38, of Tippet Knowes Road, Winchburgh, went on trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court previously and returned there for sentencing on Monday.

A jury found him guilty of a charge that on two occasions between May 21 and July 31, 2019, at an address in Cardenden, he sexually assaulted a female by touching her private parts and making sexual remarks to her.

Potts had submitted guilty pleas to two other charges.

On various occasions between October 1, 2019, and January 21 last year, in Cardenden, he sexually assaulted a girl then aged 14.

He also admitted that on January 22 last year at Cardenden, he acted aggressively, shouted, swore and pushed his former partner on the body.

Sheriff Susan Duff jailed Potts for 42 months with an extended sentence of 12 months.

She also put Potts on the sex offenders' register for an indefinite period.
