COWDENBEATH won in the league for the first time since August after defeating Stirling Albion at Central Park this afternoon.
A goal from Fraser Mullen at the start of the second half was the difference between the two sides.
The result brings an end to five straight league defeats, and five games without scoring.
It is the first win for Maurice Ross in the Blue Brazil dugout and the victory cuts the deficit between themselves and Elgin City, in ninth place, to four points - with Elgin having one game in hand.
