KELTY HEARTS could host holders St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup if they can progress against Montrose in their third round replay.

The draw for the fourth round was made this evening following Brechin City's tie with Darvel.

Kevin Thomson's side drew 0-0 at home to their League One opponents at the weekend, and will go head-to-head for a fourth round place this Saturday at Links Park.

Lying in wait for the victors are Callum Davidson's Saints, who last season completed a stunning double by lifting both the League and Scottish cups, the latter courtesy of a 1-0 win over Hibernian in the final.

Kelty, whose only defeats this season have come in the Premier Sports Cup group stage against Dundee United and Arbroath, and at St Mirren 'B' in the SPFL Trust Trophy, faced the Perth side in the former competition last season, losing 2-1 at New Central Park.

The draw, conducted by former Aberdeen captain and four-time cup winner Willie Miller, was made after former Dunfermline striker Andy Kirk's Glebe Park side, who were relegated to the Highland League last season after losing to Kelty in the League Two play-off final, secured a replay thanks to an equaliser from ex-Cowdenbeath forward David Cox.

He cancelled out Jordan Kirkpatrick's first half opener for West of Scotland League, Premier Division Darvel, whose squad included Craig Reid, formerly of Kelty and Dunfermline, as well as two more former Pars players, Andy Stirling and Ryan Thomson.
