THE owners of a missing Duloch cat left gobsmacked when he was found in Livingston think he may have caught a lift on an Amazon delivery lorry!

Ivan was last seen by Sammie West and her family on November 12 and a few days later she put up a missing cat post on social media.

Five days after his disappearance, Ivan was found 21 miles across the Forth by a West Lothian family!

Mum-of-four Sammie told the Press: "When I got a message saying the family had found Ivan I asked for their address.

"I put it into Google maps and it came up with Livingston so I thought, that can't be right!

"My first thought was how on earth has my cat ended up in Livingston?!"

Sammie has now discovered that Ivan is quite the star in Duloch with many on her Facebook page posting that he liked to visit them!

"People are saying it is possible that he could have got there by having a nosy in a van or lorry because the Amazon delivery depot is in Livingston," Sammie said.

"We live near Tesco, so not that close to Amazon, but Ivan's very adventurous and he prefers to be outdoors.

"The only time he comes in is when he's hungry or wants to sleep.

"His dad was a Norwegian Forest cat so I think that's where he gets adventure from.

"My husband said it shouldn't be Ivan the Terrible, it should be Ivan the Traveller!"

Ivan seems happy to make himself at home wherever he is welcomed!

"They were such a really nice family that found him and he was the centre of attention when I got there," Sammie added.

"There seem to be quite a lot of houses around that he wanders into.

"My neighbour leaves her kitchen window open for her cat and there's been times where she's sent a photo of Ivan just sitting on her couch.

"But I've now had a number of messages from people who also say he visits them!

"He has stayed out a night or two before but after several days I started to get worried.

"I suppose we'll never really know how he got to Livingston or what he got up to though!"
