A 24-YEAR-OLD Kelty man has been ordered to pay £10,000 compensation to the victim of his violent assault in Dunfermline.
Kearyn Hicks, 24, of Main Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted previously that on December 16 last year, at Nightingale Place, Dunfermline, he assaulted a male by punching him on the head, causing him to fall to the ground, and struck him on the head with his knee, all to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Sheriff Charles Macnair imposed a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work and two years of supervision.
He also ordered Hicks to pay £10,000 in compensation to his victim.
