THERE are plans to build new houses on land to the south of Laurence Park in Kinglassie.

Quale Homes Ltd, based in Ladybank, have submitted a proposal of application notice to Fife Council to erect a "range of private and affordable housing" on farmland to the east of the village.

This gives the developer 12 weeks for public consultation before a more detailed application can be made.

At this early stage, Quale Homes have not intimated how many homes they're aiming to build but the site, to the south of Laurence Park, the B921 Kinglassie Road and Hill View and west of the B922, is of considerable size.

A virtual online public consultation will run between November 12 and 19 to give locals the chance to find out more about the proposals and have their say.

They can also give their views before November 26 by going to www.Quale-kinglassie.co.uk and completing an online questionnaire.
