A MAN and woman have been convicted of a vicious knife assault and robbery in Ballingry.
Sharon Glencross, 29, of Kirkland Avenue, Ballingry; and John Mullen, 33, a prisoner at Perth, were on trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
A jury found them guilty of a charge that on October 25 last year, at Southfield Avenue, Ballingry, they assaulted a male by punching him repeatedly on the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
They pursued him and struggled with him, put their hands over his mouth to prevent him calling for help, punched him repeatedly on the head and struck him repeatedly on the body with a knife or similar weapon and robbed him of a mobile phone, a speaker and a games console.
Glencross and Mullen were both remanded in custody and will be sentenced on October 27.
