THEFT, domestic assault, skipping court and vandalism were just some of the crimes police in the Cowdenbeath area were tasked with solving last week.
Between September 20 and 26 the force received a total of 246 calls for their beat, which also includes Lochgelly, Kelty, Crossgates, Hill of Beath, Benarty and Cardenden, with 22 of those calls requiring an immediate response.
This led to 40 crime files being opened, containing 42 charges and 11 of those charges have been detected.
Other crimes and offences recorded over the seven days included assault, fraud, 'children and young person offences', shoplifting, communication offences, threatening and abusive behaviour,
Road traffic offences included speeding and careless driving.
