FIFE Council have begun advertising for bin collectors amid the current refuge crisis in the Kingdom.
Bins have not been getting collected in recent weeks as a result of high absence rates with Covid a major cause.
Now, however, the council have advertised for two separate roles.
The first job is environmental cleansing operative which is a full time, permanent job which pays between £17,833 and £18,847. Applications for the role close on September 26.

The advert reads: “You will work in all weather conditions to maintain designated areas within grounds and facilities, assisting delivery of recreational provisions within Fife, ensuring all areas are kept in a satisfactory condition.
“Dealing with public enquiries and assisting the Environmental Cleansing Chargehand in carrying out all tasks required.
“You must be physically able to walk considerable distances every day.
“You must be capable of manual outdoor working in all weathers, have physical working dexterity and a flexible approach towards carrying out a range of tasks.
Also sought after are extra drivers and waste collectors, which again, are permanent, full time jobs.
The salary expectations for the role are between £18,847 to £21,193 and applications close on October 3.
The advert said: “When required, you will drive an LGV refuse collection vehicle for the effective and efficient completion of daily waste collection quotas and be responsible for allocated vehicles.
“Uplifting domestic and commercial waste containers, wheeled containers, sacks or loose waste (which can involve odorous materials) in all weather conditions, including severe weather lasting several days.
“You must hold a current valid LGV category ‘C’ driving licence, digital tachograph driver card and current driver CPC.
“You must be capable of manual outdoor working in all weathers, have physical working dexterity and a flexible approach towards carrying out a range of tasks.”
