A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced for a series of offending, including damaging the home of his former partner, struggling with police and being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Keiran Lorimer, formerly from Ballingry, now of James Bank Hostel, Dunfermline, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on January 12 last year, at Robert Smith Court, Lumphinnans, he attended the home of his former partner, shouted at her repeatedly and smashed a window.

Then, on June 4 last year, at Robert Smith Court, he kicked a window, dislodging it from the frame, causing it to fall to the ground and smash.

He also breached a non-harassment order by contacting his former partner and entering Robert Smith Court.

On September at Capledrae Court, Ballingry, he shouted, swore, acted aggressively, kicked the front door repeatedly, then, when inside, he kicked a radiator and other household items then struggled with police officers.

He also admitted that at that address, he was unlawfully in possession of an offensive weapon, an axe.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said the offending had started as the result of a relationship which had been “something of a disaster for him but all of the blame can’t be put at her door”.

Sheriff James Macdonald imposed a community payback order with 18 months of supervision and a requirement to attend treatment for alcohol and drug misuse.
