POLICE are investigating after a man was spotted trying to open people’s front doors before he stole milk and orange juice from someone’s step.
It is alleged the man, who was filmed on a resident’s Ring camera, tried to open the door three times before lifting their items which had been delivered and walked off.
Others took to social media to claim they had seen him in other locations trying doors.
Officers have confirmed they are looking into the reports.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ""Around 2pm on Sunday, 1 August, officers received a report of an attempted housebreaking and theft that had taken place in the early morning of Saturday, 31 July at a house on Dunfermline Road, Crossgates.
"Officers will be carrying out enquiries into this matter."
