HE may not have picked up any points from the derby clash with Raith last week but Cowden's Gary Bollan did pick up one of their players.
After the 1-0 defeat to the Kirkcaldy side in the Premier Sports Cup, the Blues boss sat down with Rovers manager John McGlynn and agreed a loan deal for promising young striker Luke Mahady.
The 17-year-old will be at Central Park until January.
Mahady, who is from Burntisland and played for Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts before joining the Celtic academy system in 2014, is a tall and versatile striker who can play in a number of positions across the front line.
Raith signed him on a two year deal at the start of last season.
Bollan said: “We are delighted to welcome Luke to the Blue Brazil and greatly appreciate the assistance of Raith Rovers for agreeing to a temporary transfer.”
