A 35-YEAR-OLD man is accused of a vicious attack in Ballingry, punching and kicking a man while wearing a knuckleduster.

Kevin Kinnell, currently a prisoner, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court by video-link from jail.

He denies a charge that on May 4, 2019, at Kirkland Gardens, Ballingry, acting with an unknown person, he entered a house uninvited, whilst in possession of a knife, a knuckleduster and a glass bottle.

It is alleged that he then assaulted a man, struck him on the head repeatedly with the bottle, causing it to break, and repeatedly kicked and punched him on the head and body whilst wearing the knuckleduster, all to his severe injury.

A trial date was set for January 31 at Kirkcaldy.
