The foodbank in Central Fife has been a lifeline for thousands of people in one of the worst economic crises seen in recent times. The Trussell Trust’s excellent app as well as their website tells people exactly what items Benarty Foodbank is in urgent need of, so it’s never been easier to add a couple of items to your shop. Summer is a notoriously difficult time for the foodbank to get the stock they need, which is why local businesses are coming together to help; and you can too.

CARTMORE -

Central Fife Times:

Gordon Banks, Cartmore director: “At Cartmore we just wanted to do a little bit to help those less fortunate.

Food poverty is sadly more common than most people think, and we hope our support can go some way to improving young lives in our local communities.

In young people food poverty has so many impacts including health, ability to learn and self-respect. No-one should be hungry in our area in this day and age.”
