A LOCHGELLY man was the lucky winner of last weekend’s “Albert Lottery”, picking up the fantastic roll-over prize which was the highest ever pay-out made by the Lochgelly club’s prize draw.

Thomas Dawson, pictured above with his cheque along with Abe Sinclair, and Lottery convener, Len Wilson, was the lucky winner of the £8,700 jackpot.

Said Berts secretary, Ian Patrick: “With no spectators being permitted to attend matches during the pandemic, then the league programme being cancelled, the weekly lottery has been the main source of income for the club during these difficult times.

“Our Lottery is based on the numbers drawn in the National Lottery, with the winner needing to have predicted the bonus ball, plus two other numbers. If no winners, the prize money rolls over until it is won.

“The cost to participate is only £1 per week, per line, so we would say to people in the town, why not get involved, and who knows, you could be like Thomas and become a lucky winner”.
