A DRIVER was caught behind the wheel when almost four times over the limit.

Neil Stark, 35, formerly of Cowdenbeath and now of The Barony, Dysart, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 5, on the B9149 near Lochgelly, he was in charge of a car after consuming excess alcohol.

His reading was 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.

Sheriff Keith O’Mahony imposed a 12-month driving ban and fined Stark £520.
