THE former Greggs site on Cowdenbeath’s High Street could soon be a restaurant after a planning application was lodged with the council.
An application to turn the Greggs shop into a restaurant has been submitted to Fife Council, although no further details about what type of restaurant it would be are included.
The application states that a take-away area would be installed, as would a flue.
Don Bennett of Bennett Developments is the agent on behalf of Sava Estates, who are applying for permission.
Site plans included show that a major overhaul of the current layout would be required, with a customer toilet installed at the back of the premises while a kitchen would be installed in the middle of the site with the customer area at the front, near the door.
