Police in Cowdenbeath are appealing for witnesses after they received reports of more than 10 fires being wilfully started this afternoon.
The fires were started on Benarty Hill and Lochore Meadows with officers assisting Scottish Fire and Rescue in their efforts today.
A Police Scotland statement said: “Officers have been at Benarty Hill & Lochore Meadows assisting SFRS to contend with numerous incidents of willful fireraising.
“Over ten separate fires have been raised this afternoon.
“The first was reported by a member of the public at 2.30pm on Benarty Hill. Other seats of fire were then raised within Lochore Meadows.
“Did you see anything? Do you have CCTV in the area? Let us know PS-20210407-1863.”
