ALL but three Central Fife wards have now suppressed coronavirus, according to the latest data.

The Scottish Government’s neighbourhood map shows which council wards are worst hit by Covid-19 to a weekly average based on a population per 100,000 people.

For the week up to and including March 29, the most recent data available, there are no central Fife areas in the highest category of 400+ cases per 100,000 people.

Currently, Ballingry is the fifth hardest-hit area in the whole of Fife, registering 100-199 cases per 100,000 people, while Lochore and Crosshill are also in the same category, albeit further down the list.

Cowdenbeath North has a level of 50-99 infections per 100,000 people.

Every other ward in Central Fife is in the lowest category, which Public Health Scotland deem “suppressed”.

The overall seven-day positivity rate across Fife is currently two per cent, down from 3.3 per cent two weeks ago.
