THERE was a major emergency response on the A92 this evening following concern for a person in the area. 

A large police presence was spotted on the road between Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath with tailbacks and disruption for motorists as a result. 

Police told the Times it was due to concern for a person who is now safe and well. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.55pm, police received a report of a concern for person on the A92 between Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath. 

“Officers attended and the man is has been traced safe and well.”
