TWO teenagers have been arrested in connection with a fire which destroyed a bird hide at Loch Leven.
NatureScot’s popular Mill Hide on the shores of Loch Leven National Nature Reserve (NNR) was completely gutted in a blaze on February 18, with it understood to be malicious as police carry out an investigation.
Officers carrying out the investigation have now arrested two young boys.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 16 year old male was arrested on Friday, 26 February in connection with a deliberate fire at a bird hide on the shores of Loch Leven on Thursday 18th February.
“He was charged and released from custody on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
"A 14 year old boy was also arrested and charged in connection with this incident last week."
