THE Blue Brazil Lottery waited about 35 weeks for a winner and then two come along a week apart.

Highly unusual, the Cowdenbeath FC lottery was won for the second week running on last week.

The lucky winner collected £500 and is a ‘very weel-kent face’ about Central Park.

John Cameron, the club director in charge of the Blue Brazil Lottery, said: “It is the first time this has happened in a very long time.

“The prize this time has been picked up by Cowdenbeath stalwart Alex Haddow.

“It’s always great to get good news but especially so in Lockdown land. So well done Alex and enjoy your winnings.”

Alex, who helps out in so many ways behind the scenes at Cowden, was delighted with the win, although by getting all six numbers only a week after Liz Harvey had won the £3,800 first prize after a run of 38 weeks without a winner, meant a smaller collection for him, that didn’t bother the Blue Brazilian.
