ELIZABETH Harvey, from Foulford Street, wasn’t really having the best of weeks until on Friday she received the news that she had scooped the £3,800 Blue Brazil Lottery jackpot prize.
The excitement of learning that her numbers had come up had Elizabeth’s heart pounding and hands shaking!
On a cold, wintry day in the middle of the Covid lockdown, this really was welcome news for the Cowdenbeath woman.
Elizabeth will be a familiar face to many from her time working in several of the hostelries on Cowdenbeath High Street - the Crown Hotel, the Clansman, the Kilt & Keg and Partners.
Elizabeth said: ”I thank the club very much for my wee windfall - it is much appreciated.
“Just as well the pubs are closed as I would be buying everyone a drink! I will likely pay-off my catalogue, give some money to my kids and save for the future - I hope better times are not too far away’.
Said club director with responsibilities for the Blue Brazil Lottery, John Cameron: “Elizabeth has also made a donation to Cowdenbeath FC from her winnings which is greatly appreciated by us all at Central Park”.
