A MAN has been arrested in Fife following a serious intelligence-led operation in the Kingdom.
Police Scotland announced today that a 25-year-old man was charged with the importation of a firearm and ammunition and will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court tomorrow.
The investigation into the man was part of t he organised crime partnership and followed a covert investigation.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Thursday, 18 February, 2021, officers arrested and charged a 25-year-old man in connection with the importation of a firearm and ammunition.

“This operation is part of the Organised Crime Partnership, with law enforcement agencies working together and sharing information to combat serious crime.
“The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, 19 February, 2021. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The Organised Crime Partnership (Scotland) is a covert investigation team comprising of officers and staff from Police Scotland and the National Crime Agency.”
