GRAHAM’S Dairy has applied for planning permission from Fife Council.

The family dairy company has asked the council for permission to erect an extension to an already existing industrial building at its Cowdenbeath plant in Glenfield Industrial Estate.

It is currently unclear when work would begin should it be approved by Fife Council’s planning committee.

The Cowdenbeath plant has been controversial in recent years after the council issued noise abatement notices due to the level of noise coming from generators.

It is understood that local residents are still unhappy about the noise levels emitted from the plant.
