FIFE residents are bracing themselves for further flooding after SEPA issued an amber warning for the weekend.

Many towns across the Kingdom have already been suffering following days of torrential downpours and that will not cease over the coming weekend.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued an amber warning for much of Fife, meaning it is likely properties will be affected by the flooding.

Cardenden Community Resilience Group have issued a warning for the area.

It read: “As you can see everyone, the River Ore is in a bad way.

“It has flooded Wallsgreen Park and is very deep. Please keep in mind if your kids are out and about in the village!!

“It is only 1-2 inches from spilling onto Station Road. We have reported the incident and status to Fife Council and their Emergency Resilience Team. Support is on hand locally from our group also.”

Fife Council has been around towns today delivering sandbags to at-risk properties.
