FIFE Council Economic Development has funding available through its Trade Development Programme for Fife-based food and drink businesses to promote their goods and services to buyers over the course of 2021.

Food and drink businesses seeking to grow and build their client base are being encouraged to apply for funding, to take part in Scotland’s Speciality Food Show.

The event is being delivered online from January to December 2021 giving buyers exclusive access to all products, all year.

Registered buyers can search, select and request information on products, can access virtual showrooms, bookmark favourite products and make appointments with ‘exhibitors’ and chat with the team.

Under the banner, InvestFife, Fife Council Economic Development’s Trade Development Programme is offering part-funding (50 per cent) for the online exhibition costs to Fife food and drink businesses.

In addition, and in partnership with Business Gateway Fife and Food From Fife, businesses will be offered relevant training, including sessions on selling online and Digital Boost workshops, in preparation for the year-long event.

Ann Camus, Enterprise and Business Development Manager at Fife Council, said:“Scotland’s Speciality Food Show has a proven track record of creating opportunities in new and existing markets for Fife-based food and drink businesses.

“The feedback we’ve had in recent years has been positive, with businesses reporting the establishment of viable contacts as well as securing contracts.

“We do encourage businesses, where possible, to attend events like these – there’s no better way of being visible to food and drink buyers from across the UK.”
