A CARDENDEN man has been sentenced for domestic and driving offences.

Dylan Beveridge, 24, of Whitehall Avenue, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on November 1, at Craigside Road, Cardenden, he shouted, swore and made offensive remarks in a domestically-aggravated offence,

He also admitted that in Craigside Road he drove a car without holding a valid licence and without insurance.

Depute fiscal Jill Currie said Beveridge had returned home after being at a party and became verbally-abusive and aggressive towards his partner. His shouting continued until 2am when he left the house.

He came back at 8am and woke her up, banging on the front door. She let him in and again he became verbally-abusive.

This went on for an hour and was heard by a neighbour. He then drove off and his partner contacted the police as she knew he did not have a licence.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said of the offences: β€œHe’d had too much to drink.”

Sheriff James Macdonald imposed a community payback order with 18 months of supervision and 120 hours of unpaid work. He also banned Beveridge from driving for 18 months.
