A man has been charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct after officers discovered a licensed premises still open, despite the restrictions.
Police attended a pub in Kirkgate at 1.20am today, Friday, November 13, to find it was open with patrons inside.
A 53-year-old man from Dunfermline was charged and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
Area Commander Chief Inspector Paul Dick said: “There are currently clear regulations in place which apply to all licensed premises in the Fife area, and I would urge all landlords to adhere to them.
“Officers will be visiting licensed premises throughout Fife to check that they are operating safely, within the current guidelines and anyone who is caught breaching the rules will be held accountable.
“Anyone with information or concerns regarding a licensed premises in your area can contact Police Scotland through 101.”
