FOUR areas in Dunfermline have recorded the highest number of positive coronavirus rates across West Fife in the past seven days.

An interactive map has been launched by Public Health Scotland which shows hotspots in the area.

It shows the number of cases per 100,000 population and is broken down into different neighbourhoods.

In the most recent seven-day period (October 5-11), seven areas in West Fife (highlighted red) recorded the highest rate of cases - where the number of positive cases in the past week gave them a rate of 100-plus per 100,000 population.

These areas were:

  • Dunfermline Duloch North and Lynebank - 20 cases
  • Dunfermline Brucefield - 11 cases
  • Dalgety Bay East - 6 cases
  • Dunfermline Touch and Woodmill - 6 cases
  • Aberdour and Auchtertool - 6 cases
  • Dalgety Bay Central - 5 cases
  • Dunfermline Pitcorthie West - 1-4 cases

There were 215 cases recorded in West Fife during the period from October 5 to 11.

The following areas reported between 1 and 4 cases:

  • Crossford, Charlestown and Limekilns
  • Crossgates and Halbeath
  • Dunfermline Abbeyview North
  • Dunfermline Baldridgeburn
  • Dunfermline Central
  • Dunfermline Duloch South
  • Dunfermline Headwell
  • Dunfermline Masterton
  • Dunfermline Milesmark and Wellwood
  • Hill of Beath and Kingseat
  • Kelty East
  • Kelty West
  • Kincardine
  • Oakley, Comrie and Blairhall
  • Rosyth East
  • Rosyth South
  • Saline and Gowkhall

The following areas reported zero cases:
