There has been good news for Fifers this week after it was announced funding had been found to reopen the Cowdenbeath recycling centre.
It is the only centre left in Fife yet to reopen due to safety requirements not being fulfilled. However, it looks as though the centre will be given the go ahead to open in the near future.
Also in this week’s Central Fife Times:
• A Lochore man has been jailed after threatening to kill someone with a meat cleaver he stole from a Chinese takeaway.
• A much-loved Beath High School teacher has officially retired.
• Lower league clubs get their season underway.
• An MSP warns ‘actions are louder than words’ on the issue of child poverty.
All this and much more in this week’s Central Fife Times.
