Motorists witnessed a vehicle driving down the wrong side of the A92 yesterday evening (Sunday) at around 6.35pm.

Police attended the scene between the Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly junctions but there was no trace of the reported car. 

They are now asking those with information to come forward. 

A police spokesperson said: "Around 6.55pm on Sunday, 11 October, 2020, we received reports of a car driving in the wrong direction on the A92 between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly. 

"Officers attended and searched the area but there was no trace of the car.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2962 of 11 October, 2020."
