THIS week's Down Memory Lane collection comes from a book saved by Mary Bell and is of some Cardenden moments of the past.

The top picture shows a group of pupils from Cardenden Primary School and it is believed the picture was taken between 1948 and 1950.

Left is a picture of the Big Goth, and the building is still there today. This picture was taken around the time of the First World War.

The top middle picture is of the Auchterderran Wheelers Cycling Club in the early 1930s and it became a very popular group with many members who were well known for doing errands for villagers. The bottom middle picture is a shot of the play park in Cardenden, possibly in the late 1940s.
