WEMBLEY is calling for Benarty football star Lucy Graham after she helped her team reach the FA Cup final.

The Everton midfielder, 23, was on target against Chelsea last Sunday as the Toffees completed a comeback victory to leave them just 90 minutes away from a first final in six years.

Then on Wednesday she played in the Everton midfield unit that saw them win 3-0 against Birmingham City to book their final spot on November 1 against either Manchester City or Arsenal.

A two-time winner of the Scottish Women's Cup with Hibernian, Scotland international Lucy has been delighted to play her part in a great run by the Goodison club's ladies squad

The 2020 competition has been delayed due to Coronavirus, with the final set to be staged on the first day of November, during the Ballingry woman's second full season as an Everton player after moving from Bristol City last summer.

Lucy, who last season scored a memorable Merseyside derby winner at Anfield, told Everton's website: "I like big occasions and I like big stadiums. It's the place to be!

"We've worked so hard to get where we are. We're definitely still a work in progress, but the character of these girls to go on and push on for the win was just magical."

Lucy has won six caps so far for the senior Scotland side, three of which came in March at the Pinatar Cup tournament in Spain.

She made her second and third starts in wins over Ukraine and Northern Ireland, with a substitute appearance against Iceland sandwiched in between, as Shelley Kerr's team came out on top.

The matches had been due to prepare Scotland for UEFA European Championship qualifiers, but those were also put back due to the pandemic.

They are due to resume their bid to reach the finals, which had been due to take place in England next summer but has been postponed until July 22, later this month against Albania and Finland.
