A HOUSE was damaged by fire in Cowdenbeath late on Thursday afternoon.
Lochgelly firefighters rushed to Sinclair Drive where the outbreak occurred and the teams on the three appliances found that the house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.
The firefighters found the whole place filled with smoke but they were able to enter the premises and went on to extinguish the fire, although not before some damage was caused by the outbreak and the intense smoke.
The incident posed problems for motorists using Sinclair Drive and traffic was redirected out of the estate by the Factory Shop at Woodend, for a spell.
