OPERATION BOO, geared to tackling crimes related to drug related violence, has made three more detections over the past 48 hours.

In the early hours of Wednesday a 40 year old male was traced on the A92 in possession of diazepam. His vehicle was also found to have no insurance.

The male will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

On Tuesday a 24 year old female was arrested in the Benarty area after being found in possession of an amount of cannabis which had a street value of up to £450.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Meanwhile, a 46 year-old male was due to appear from custody on Wednesday, after being caught on Tuesday, shoplifting in a local shop in Lochgelly.

The Cowdenbeath team have brought in the the operation of the Fife Division's Mobile CCTV Vehicle, and this will be deployed strategically in areas where there have been reports of drug related violence.

Operation BOO will run in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area until Monday September 21.
