TWO fire engines were called out to deal with a fire at an abandoned building in Lochgelly last night (Tuesday).
A "small of amount" of rubbish was alight outside the former Fabtek Engineering business on Hall Street.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 6.27pm on Tuesday, September 15 to reports of a fire on Hall Street, Lochgelly, Fife.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to extinguish a small amount of rubbish alight outside a derelict building.
"Firefighters left after making the area safe."
Concerns have been raised over the building in recent years with the Lochgelly Community Council previously stating that it posed a danger to the public.
