A MAN died in an accident on the A92 which occurred between Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath last night.
The incident saw the road closed for several hours.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.55pm on Saturday, September 12, officers in Fife received reports of a one vehicle crash on the A92 near the Cowdenbeath junction.
“Emergency services attended and a 63-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two boys, a 12-year-old and a one year old baby, were taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment to minor injuries and kept overnight for observation.
"The road was closed for a number of hours and re-opened around 1pm on Sunday, 13 September. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
