A PROTEST took place in Lochgelly last night (Thursday) over claims that an alleged paedophile was living in the area.
Large groups of people were chanting outside a property on Page Street at around 7pm before police intervened.
Live video footage was later posted on a Facebook group's page showing officers ushering a man into a police van.
Police Scotland told the Times that no arrest was made at the scene.
A spokesperson said: "A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crowd gathered outside a property on Page Street in Lochgelly around 7pm on Thursday, September 10.
"Officers attended and engaged with the group who later dispersed.
"No arrests have been made."
