WITH the rather belated kick off for season 2020/21 now just around the corner, Cowdenbeath FC is absolutely delighted to be able to announce that local business, Collier Haulage, Quarrying and Recycling, have agreed to be the new front of shirt sponsors.

Collier, of course, are based at Goathill Quarry, Crossgates, and have been in operation since 2007 – having been established from a background of farming and bulk haulage.

Collier’s operations include the extraction of dolerite whin stone, at Goathill Quarry, and the business actively strives to operate in an environmentally friendly manner.

Said club secretary, David Allan: "We truly appreciate this great backing from Collier and warmly welcome them on board as Front of Shirt sponsors at Central Park. "The Board of Cowdenbeath FC thank them for this most generous support as we look forward to the long-awaited new season. We would also ask our fans to support them with their custom if the opportunity arises".

The club have also confirmed that Bay Travel will be backing Cowdenbeath as back of shirt sponsors for the fourth season in a row.

They will be the sponsors on the top of the back of the shirt.

David added: "Our grateful thanks go to Bay Travel for supporting us once more. We will of course again be travelling with Bay Travel as they will provide the team coach for many of Cowdenbeath FC’s away matches around the country in season 2020/21.

"Bay Travel are Cowdenbeath based and were established in 2008 by Vince Derighetti and Iain Robertson.

"We are also delighted to welcome back David Philp Commercials Ltd, who again have very generously agreed to be shirt sponsors for the Club in season 2020/21 – they will have their logo displayed on the bottom half of the back of the shirt.

"David Philp Commercials is based over the Bridge at Kirknewton in Midlothian and was established in the 1970s by the late David Philp Snr as a small panel/paint shop offering accident repairs, mechanical repairs and delivery. It has grown from those modest beginnings to become a renowned Commercial Vehicle Repair specialist which is well-known UK-wide.

"This season a new type of shirt sponsorship is also available – a sleeve patch on one of the arms of our jersey. Last season’s shorts sponsors ETS – (Electrical Trade Supplies Ltd) have therefore taken the opportunity to be our first ever such sponsor. Thus their logo too will now adorn our jersey in 2020/21. ETS are based in Hamilton and are keen backers of the club and Robbie Buchanan".

Concluded David: "The board of Cowdenbeath FC warmly thank all of these sponsors on behalf of the Club and all its fans for their most generous support and we look forward to sharing the long-awaited new season with them all. Their backing is very greatly appreciated and we would ask our fans to support them with their custom if the opportunity arises.

"With the players back and training underway at Central Park, it does now feel as though we are actually poised to be back in real action soon.

"One further step forward is that we now will look to fully launch our 2020/21 kit in the next few days including the unveiling of our new away kit. "As a first step, we are delighted to initially announce that despite the current very difficult economic climate several of our kit sponsors from last season will return as sponsors in the coming campaign."
