ORGANISATIONS in the Cowdenbeath area should remember that the Mossmorran Wind Farm Community Fund is open for applications for grants until September 30 .
The fund is provided by the Mossmorran Wind Farm, at Beverkae, and this year has received over £17,000 to distribute to community groups and organisations based, or working, in the Hill of Beath, Cowdenbeath, and Crossgates and Mossgreen Community Council areas.
The fund is open to applications for grants up to £1,000 for a wide range of inspirational and creative community-led activity that helps deliver a lasting impact. Said a Fund spokesperson: “Due to the impact of coronavirus pandemic, local groups will be facing new challenges.
“The Fund can support projects that meet the needs of vulnerable people and who are experiencing additional challenges”.
