THE days when Isobel Duncan used to fly around on her motorbikes came back to the Benore Care Home resident, in Lochore.

Isobel celebrated her 84th birthday and as part or her celebrations she was given the chance to get aboard a motor trike.

Lead Well-being Co-ordinator at Benore, Ross Gavin, got in touch with the Alba Trike Club and they were only too happy bring their amazing machines along to let Isobel get back in the saddle.

Said Ross: "Isobel had a lot of motorbikes over the years and was a member of a biking society herself so she was delighted to get the chance to have a shot on one of these massive machines.

"The Alba Trike Club president was only too happy to take her several laps of the Care Centre complex car park and she loved the experience."

The event not only captured the imagination of the Care Centre's residents and staff, the purr of the powerful machine brought a lot of attention from villagers.

Added Ross: "Isobel has dementia and the engagement of the trike experience certainly had a very positive impact on her and I cannot thank the Alba Bike Club for making it possible."

Ross has a few more ideas in the pipeline to help residents have fun with a therapeutic element.
