Second flytipping of tyres around Crossgates in a few weeks

Between Thursday and Friday this was the scene at the entrance to Elmbank Poultry Farm, at Fordell, near Crossgates.

There was a large number of tyres dumped between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath a few weeks back which upset the village's community council.

The chair of Crossgates and Mossgreen Community Council, Maureen Cuthbertson said: "Really unsightly and every possibility it uis the same perpetrators as before.

"A large white Sprinter van was seen on a resident's camera during the early hours but it was too dark to see the number plates.

"Still it is totally wrong that around two dozen tyres are simply discarded in the countryside."
