THIS week's Down Memory Lane photographs come from Lochore exile Tom Thomson, who may have headed south in the 1970s but still warmly remembers his years in Benarty.
Said Tom: "My uncle sent me a host of pictures many years ago and these shots of the Meedies, most taken before the work rehabilitating of the pit spoil started."
The top picture shows Lochore Castle before the rehabilitation work got into full swing. The left hand picture is of the dereliction left and the bings being made to look better by snow!
The middle pictures are of the early days of the park with the Mary Pit Head looking resplendent and the other is before the rehab work hit full swing.
